Nancy Rutherford
Clinical Pilates Instructor, Indepth Physiotherapist
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from UBC and her Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. Nancy grew up in Calgary and was an avid dancer for more than a decade. Her love of dance was one of the primary reasons she pursued Physiotherapy, and she is excited to now be able to get back into the dance community in a new way.
Nancy managed the Vancouver General Hospital Falls Prevention clinic for 2 years. Here she found a passion for working with geriatric populations and for showing people how dramatically exercise can improve quality of life. Nancy also currently works as part of the Physiotherapy team for the Calgary Canucks rugby club, where she gets to assess and treat sport-related injuries and help players get back to the game as quickly as possible.
Nancy loves working with a variety of populations, from experienced movers to those totally new to exercise. She loves teaching people to connect with their bodies through movement and helping people to live pain-free and strong.
When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Nancy taking long walks with her dog at the dog park, taking barre and pilates classes, and getting outdoors as much as possible.
