As a Physiotherapist I wanted to take a clinical Pilates course that allowed me to integrate the skills I already had into learning and applying Pilates to a clinical population. Over the course of the last few months I have found that undertaking the Indepth Physiotherapy clinical Pilates course has been transformative experience for myself and the way I practice. The approach to movement and rehabilitation through Pilates exercises has allowed me to look at the issues my patients are experiencing through a different lens where I can apply movement based assessment and treatment principles in a whole new and approachable way. Integrating Pilates into my practice has challenged me to grow and learn a completely new language and skill set, while allowing me to enhance the quality of care I provide to my patients. I have also appreciated the emphasis on full body integration through the variety of exercises and learning movement that emphasizes treating the person as a whole, not just an affected part of the body. I have found that Pilates has provided me with valuable tools to tailor rehabilitation programs that are effective, sustainable, and holistic. Overall, this clinical Pilates course has expanded my therapeutic skill set and improved my ability to empower individuals in their journey towards reaching their rehabilitation goals.”
